Landscape Visual Impact Evaluation for Onshore Wind Farm: A Case Study

نویسندگان

چکیده

Wind energy is an effective solution for achieving the carbon-neutrality target and mitigating climate change. The expansion of onshore wind evokes extensive attention to environmental impact in locality. landscape visual has become critical reason local protest. This paper proposed a evaluation (LVIE) model that combines theoretical framework practical solutions optimizes farm planning procedures. Based on research connotation, principles, criteria, quantitative indicator set constructed LVIE with three dimensions: sensitivity, WTs, viewer exposure. practicality this conducted through multi-criteria GIS analysis by case study Friedrich-Wilhelm Raiffeisen Farm Germany. results illustrate detailed, visualized outcomes are deeply combined innovation refine form results, optimize procedures planning, enable cooperation between different departments stakeholders definite, visible, user-friendly results. provides precise comparison opportunities projects or same project at periods obtain conclusions feedback information. enhances accurate processing multiple information standardization process evaluation.

Wind energy potential assessment of Cameroon’s coastal regions for the installation of an onshore wind farm

For the future installation of a wind farm in Cameroon, the wind energy potentials of three of Cameroon's coastal cities (Kribi, Douala and Limbe) are assessed using NASA average monthly wind data for 31 years (1983-2013) and compared through Weibull statistics. The Weibull parameters are estimated by the method of maximum likelihood, the mean power densities, the maximum energy carrying wind s...

An integral maintenance optimization using a Gravitational Search Algorithm (GSA). An application to onshore wind farm

In Spain, the actual wind power capacity nearly reaches 20000 MW, what corresponds to a 16 % of the total capacity available to supply the electricity demand [1]. The amount of wind energy produced in the Spanish electric market has increased due to the construction of wind farms and to the improvement in their availability [2]. This improvement, is obtained by the analysis and continuous impro...

Performance Analysis of Hybrid HVDC Transmission Systems for Connecting Offshore Wind Farm to Onshore Grid

This paper presents the performance analysis of DFIG based off shore wind farm feeding to large power system through a hybrid HVDC link. The hybrid HVDC link consists of a line commutated converter based inverter and voltage source converter based rectifier. The active and reactive power of off shore station is controlled using voltage source converter based rectifier controller and the dc line...

Evaluation of global onshore wind energy potential and generation costs.

In this study, we develop an updated global estimate of onshore wind energy potential using reanalysis wind speed data, along with updated wind turbine technology performance, land suitability factors, cost assumptions, and explicit consideration of transmission distance in the calculation of transmission costs. We find that wind has the potential to supply a significant portion of the world en...
